HUDSON, WI – March 30, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Christian Community Homes & Services is advancing construction and renovation projects across its Hudson campus to expand assisted living capacity and refresh resident spaces. The initiatives convert unused areas into new assisted living studios and include updates to dining and common areas, addressing the increasing demand for senior living communities in Wisconsin as the population ages.
The project transforms 14 unused rooms in the Willow Glen skilled nursing section into eight new assisted living studios, each featuring a kitchenette and private bathroom with a shower. Additional enhancements involve refreshing the Willow Glen dining room with new lighting, finishes, and furniture, as well as similar improvements to the dining room and the addition of a new resident lounge at Pine Ridge assisted living. At WinterGreen independent living, plans include replacing the main entry portico for better vehicle access and expanding outdoor seating in the standing garden.
These developments respond to demographic trends in St. Croix County, where the proportion of residents aged 65 and older increased from 10 percent in 2010 to 16 percent in 2022, with projections showing one in four residents aged 60 or older by 2040 and a doubling of those 85 and older. The updates aim to provide more sustainable options within the continuum of care offered by Christian Community Homes & Services, which includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services.
The organization maintains its faith-based foundation, with services designed to nurture graceful living rooted in Christian principles. Residents across campuses benefit from personalized care plans, spiritual support through worship and pastoral care, and activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Pamela Klingfu, CEO of Customer Lifestyles at Christian Community Homes & Services, described the significance of the work. “This project responds to the urgent need for sustainable senior housing in St. Croix County as we enter the ‘silver tsunami’ of a rapidly aging population.”
The renovations build on earlier efforts, including the addition of assisted living apartments announced in late 2024, which involved converting portions of skilled nursing space and updating common areas with new flooring, lighting, paint, and furniture. These steps collectively strengthen the organization’s ability to offer varied housing and care levels in response to community needs.
An open house is scheduled upon project completion to mark the updates and coincide with the organization’s 45th anniversary, providing an opportunity for the community to view the refreshed spaces.
Christian Community Homes & Services operates two campuses. The Hudson campus encompasses Willow Glen for skilled nursing and transitional care, Pine Ridge for assisted living, Pine Ridge Gardens for secure memory care, and WinterGreen for independent senior apartments. The Osceola campus, located adjacent to the Osceola Medical Center, provides skilled nursing, transitional care, rehabilitation, and assisted living.
The nonprofit organization originated in 1981 from a community initiative led by the Hudson United Methodist Church to preserve local nursing home services. It has since expanded to deliver a full spectrum of senior care options emphasizing dignity, individualized attention, and faith-integrated support. The Christian Community Campus Foundation complements operations by channeling donations toward resident assistance, program enhancements, equipment, staff scholarships, and employee support funds, ensuring continued access to quality services.
These campus improvements position Christian Community Homes & Services to better accommodate the evolving requirements of seniors in the area while upholding its commitment to compassionate, community-oriented care.
